Love Alani Nu’s cotton candy flavor but not the 200mg caffeine jolt that comes with it? Same. That’s why I started making my own version at home—zero caffeine, zero crash, and totally delicious. This recipe gives you the nostalgic cotton candy taste you’re craving without the side of heart palpitations. Plus, it’s super easy to customize!
Ingredients:

- 1 (12 oz) can LaCroix Pure Sparkling Water
- 1 packet Great Value Cotton Candy Sugar-Free Drink Mix (found at Walmart)
- 1/4 tsp citric acid (look in the canning section near mason jars)
- 1–2 tsp vanilla syrup
- Ice
Instructions:
1. Pour about 2 oz of the LaCroix into a glass.
2. Add the drink mix and stir until dissolved.
3. Add citric acid and vanilla syrup, then stir again.
4. Add ice to the glass.
5. Pour in the remaining LaCroix.
6. Stir until everything is well combined.

Serving: 1 drink
Prep Time: 5 minutes
You can use any brand of plain sparkling water in place of LaCroix. Want it even easier? Skip the citric acid and/or vanilla syrup—it’ll still taste great, just a little less tart or sweet.
Keep in mind, this version is caffeine-free. If you want a light caffeine boost, try adding a splash of green tea or a small amount of energy water.
Cheers!
