After the cold, wet, gray winter skies, dormant garden beds, and maybe a bit quieter times, spring has arrived. Its arrival feels to me like a reset button to start fresh, to begin again. With longer days, brighter skies and new perspectives.
Something in me Changes When Spring Arrives
This spring is a time to step away from the news, the negative energy, the worry and fear and get my hands in the dirt. To put my headphones on, push play and listen to my next audiobook. It brings warmer temperatures, a time to shed that coat and leave my worries and fears behind. Then walking in the garden and discovering what made it through the winter with the help of GOD.
Spring means removing the dust and grimness. Clearing out the clutter in the closets, cabinets and even the attitudes. Opening all the windows, letting out the funk and allowing the fresh air in. There’s nothing better than to sweep out the old and make room for what’s to come.
The growth of spring is steady, not loud and showy, but quiet and faithful. You may not see progress quickly, but slowly day to day, just like the blossoms of a peach tree. The roots that we don’t see working are doing their job. Before you know it, peaches are ready to be picked and enjoyed.
That is how growth works.
Spring Gives Me Permission to Start Again
It’s a reminder that it’s not too late to start something new. To prune back on things that just aren’t working or causing me unneeded stress. Finding the joy of spring is something we should all do. The beauty of spring is all around us, trying to work from the inside out and the outside in. Remove the dust and unwanted energy. Let go of the fear and worry and start fresh. Out goes the old and in comes the new. It’s time.
Blessings,
Jenn
