Ghirardelli Peppermint Bar Brownies

0

These brownies are easy and a total crowd pleaser around the holidays or winter! They’re also a great recipe to have kids help with (laying the chocolate squares!)

Ingredients:

  1. Your favorite boxed brownie mix! I like to use the Ghirardelli box. (Bonus tip: buy the bulk box from Costco and always have it in your pantry.)
  2. Ghirardelli peppermint bark squares (you’ll need at least 12 or so pieces for a 9×9 pan)

Directions:

  1. Mix and bake your brownies according to the directions.
  2. 1-2 minutes before the timer is done, take the brownies out.
  3. Layer the peppermint squares on top of the mostly-done brownies and put them back in for the remaining time – watch them carefully as they melt!
  4. Once the brownies are done, take them out and carefully spread the melted peppermint squares across the top.
  5. You can add crushed up candy canes or sprinkles if you want to be festive!
  6. Let the brownies fully cool before serving. You can also pop them in the fridge to fully harden after a couple hours
