With the blink of an eye, 2021 has brought us to the end of our calendars while 2022 bids us to turn the final page and enter expectantly into a new year. These final weeks of December are filled with holiday parties, family gatherings, last-minute shopping…and planning.

I love planners. And lists. And stickers and washi tape and anything pretty that helps me feel organized. So today, I’m excited to share with you my top five favorite accessories for planning an organized, happy, and prosperous new year.

Maggie Holmes Planner

After a few years of loving The Happy Planner | Planners & Planner Stickers, I found that at the end of the day (or week or month or year), I had several pages and organization blocks that I just wasn’t utilizing. However, I wasn’t willing to give up these beautiful planners because I’d already become obsessed with their stickers, washi tape, and planner-obsessed community.

Enter the Maggie Holmes Planner.

I picked up this beautiful girl at my local Joann’s and immediately fell in love. She has the same size daily planning blocks as a Happy Planner, so I can still use all of my favorite stickers, but her pages are simple and exactly what I need.

Happy Planner Stickers

I used to be happy simply penciling in my appointments and to-do lists. Then a friend posted her planner-spread on Instagram, filled with brightly colored boxes and gorgeous florals, and I knew I’d never have a boring planner again. Designing my planner pages has brought me more joy than I could have imagined and as someone who can’t draw or paint, I love having a creative outlet so simple that even I can’t mess it up.

Happy Planner stickers come in so many different styles and aesthetics that I never get bored. I love using their Value Pack stickers and always have a few on my wish list. They fit perfectly in the boxes of my Maggie Holmes planner and add so much depth and creativity to my planner.

Kell of a Plan Stickers

Honestly, these are my #1 favorite find of 2021. Heather Kell of Kell of a Plan is a crazy, amazing creative who has brightened my world. Her stickers (and coordinating washi tape) are vibrant, fun, and perfect for adding joy to my planner. Plus, she’s so fun to follow on Instagram that I literally cried when I found out she was going to have a baby. She has no idea who I am, but I adore her, and her beautiful designs make my heart flutter. They’re pretty and practical and she’s all about teaching you how to “plan a life you love.” Plus, I love shopping small and supporting female entrepreneurs. So, go give her a follow at Heather Kell (@kellofaplan) • Instagram photos and videos.

Washi Tape

I’d love to give you a link to my favorite washi tape, but I just don’t have one. When in comes to sticky borders for my planner, I do not discriminate. As I mentioned above, Kell of a Plan has gorgeous washi tape sets that match her stickers, but I also love a solid-colored border or a whimsical gingham check. Do what makes your heart happy. Buy some washi tape. I have a box full.

Staedtler Triplus Fineliner Pens

Last but not least, every planner needs bright, happy-colored writing. I achieve this through my Fineliner pens. I’ve had this pack for several years now, and they still write bright and clear. I’m just waiting for them to start to run dry so I can justify buying a bigger pack with more gorgeous colors.
