Prosciutto and Melon

0

This fresh, easy snack is beloved in Northern Italy during the long summer months. It is usually served with a Spritz or Prosecco before dinner. I also love serving this at brunch! The unusual pairing may get some funny looks in the U.S. — but don’t knock it ’till you try it!

Ingredients:

1 Ripe Cantaloupe
8 Slices of Prosciutto (Italian cured ham — or “Prosciutto Crudo” in Italian)

Directions:

1. Slice and peal the cantaloupe into 8 servings.
2. Gently wrap one slice of prosciutto around each piece of cantaloupe, or simply layer it on top.
3. Keep chilled until ready to serve.
4. Enjoy!
