Are you trying to find a unique and budget-friendly Halloween craft to add a little spookiness to your home? Well, look no further. You can transform an old paperback book into a hauntingly cute Ghost Book Sculpture! If you love upcycling thrifted books or just want an easy DIY project for the fall season, then this step-by-step guide is perfect for you. It will show you how to turn simple book pages into a “boo-tiful” piece of home decoration.

Materials
– Paperback book (300 pages or more)
– Pencil
– X-acto knife or small box cutter
– Black paper
– Scissors
– Glue gun
– Optional cutting mat

Directions

1. Take the paperback book and tear off the front and back covers along the spine
2. On the first page, with your pencil, trace half a ghost silhouette along the page. Half a head and half a body. You can be as creative as you want.
3. Now safely cut along the ghost silhouette tracing with your X-acto knife or box cutter.
4. Tear off the excess pages and continue cutting along the pages of the ghost silhouette. Optional: Slip a cutting mat underneath a few pages at a time to have cleaner trimmed edges.
5. Continue cutting through all the pages of the book.

6. After you are done cutting, tear off any extra outer edges of the pages.
7. Next, glue along the book’s spine and fold it over to get the full ghost shape.
8. After the glue dries, carefully fluff out the pages.
9. Get your black paper and cut out some oval shapes for the eyes and mouth.
10. And you are done.
